my journey x

Taking the leap and diving into my business full time.

I have always been an incredibly ambitious person. From a young age, the idea of success through my career and running my own business captivated me. Two things along with creating a family that have been a constant in my life. To me, it has felt incredibly important to be successful doing what I feel has purpose and meaning.

Over the years my motivation and drive were pushed, pulled, and tested with many challenges along the way. I became focused on leaving Byron once I had finished school and traveling the world. Leaving the Byron Shire and moving across the world at 19 on my own, was truly the best decision I’ve ever made.

After returning 7 years later, my focus shifted to healing my mind and my body which led me to the discovery of the large hole in my heart. I knew I wouldn’t be able to reach my life potential with my body suffering the way it was, so I pivoted and began the journey to finding inner health and happiness. This grew my undeniable love for health and wellness and fuelled my passion for simple, clean cooking.

Surrounding myself with great teachers and mentors has been something I’ve always done. Learning and growing through others influential actions and their guiding words have paved my way over the past 30 years. I feel incredibly grateful to have some of the most down to earth, smart and loving people in my circle and I know I wouldn’t be half the woman today if it wasn’t for them.

I began working in a corporate role here in Byron 3 years ago and whilst it was one of the most challenging jobs I’ve had on my career path, it fast tracked my skills and knowledge on starting and scaling a business. We were a business coaching platform for tradesmen around the world, coaching the fundamental foundations of business and how to quickly grow and scale a business with a holistic approach.

I continued to build Sage on the side, after work and on the weekends, absorbing every piece of information my brain could from the coaching I was surrounded by. I began organically growing, each job would lead to another and I was starting to see that I could really make this work.

Having heart surgery this year has changed my perspective on life, it gave me a deeper sense of calm and a deep desire to continue to follow my own journey to meaningful success.  Within a few weeks after the surgery, my misalignment with the companies core values became very prevalent and it was a feeling that wasn’t going away. Authenticity, transparency, and honesty are three core values that align with myself and my business and once these had been broken, I knew it was time to venture out, take the leap and dive straight into running my business full time.

Growing up in Byron has given me the deepest feelings of gratitude. It has taught me to be a conscious and kind woman, it has taught me the importance of compassion and it has given me incredible strength. I feel so grateful to have grown up in a town that cultivates creativity and encourages a holistic and alternative way of life.

Big LOVE. T x
